Posted on May 9, 2012

Huntington, W.Va., <May 9, 2012>: MacKenzie-Dow Fine Furniture not only has a new space for their showroom in High Point, but also a new face on the web. The fine furniture manufacturer based out of Huntington, West Virginia, recently launched a new website, giving the site an improved look and making it easier to navigate.

“We recognize the importance of having a strong web presence in today’s tech-savvy world; our website may be the first impression a consumer has of MacKenzie-Dow,” said Gary Adams, President and CEO. “We think our new website represents us well, and we hope it becomes yet another tool for retailers and designers to use in telling the story of MacKenzie-Dow.”

The new site allows users to browse products by type, collection, and room or search for a specific item by entering the name or partial name of a product in the search bar. Each individual product page showcases a few photos from different viewpoints, a general description, and dimensions of the product, as well as available finish options and accessories. Each product also has a printable tear sheet so all necessary details and the main product photo will print on a neatly organized sheet.

While on an individual product page, users will notice that the bottom of the page has a “You might also enjoy…” section that features four product photos that are related to the one they selected to view, allowing users to easily find other products that may interest them.

Convenience has also been taken into consideration as the site will automatically scale down to mobile devices like the iPhone, iPad and other phones and tablets. In a society and industry where retailers, consumers and designers are always on the go, this feature reduces loading time and makes for easier navigation on smaller screens.
